Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has met with two factional transport union leaders within the state.

In an announcement titled ‘NURTW Imbroglio: CP Alabi Reads Riot Act To Mischief Makers’, the command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, mentioned the commissioner met with Musiliu ‘Mc Oluomo’ Akinsanya who was the chairman of the Lagos NURTW earlier than he was sacked, and Mr Azeez Abiola who is the state Chairman of the Tricycle Homeowners and Operators Affiliation of Nigeria (TOOAN).

The police commissioner mentioned anybody found fomenting trouble anyplace inside Lagos State would be promptly apprehended and made to face the legislation.

The assertion read;

“This warning has become crucial following incessant clashes, fracas and malicious harm to property lately experienced in some parts of Lagos State principally linked to the problems surrounding the administration of motor parks throughout the state.

“CP Alabi, who has met with the foremost contenders – Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo and Azeez Abiola aka Istijaba separately in his office, where he admonished them to prevail on their teeming followers to behave within the confines of the law, is poised to ensure the safety currently being loved in Lagos State remains intact.”

Mr Hundeyin mentioned all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and tactical commanders have been directed to “deal decisively with anybody found instigating or inflicting a breach of peace inside their respective areas of responsibility (AoR).”
