National NURTW sacks MC Oluomo as Lagos chair

The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has sacked Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo as the Lagos chairman.

Recall that in March this year, MC Oluomo was suspended indefinitely because the Lagos chairman of the NURTW over allegations of insubordination and misconduct bordering on inciting members of the union in opposition to the national body.

MC Oluomo after his suspension announced his withdrawal from the body.

In an announcement released at this time titled ‘Dissolution of Lagos State Administrative Council.’, and signed by its National President, Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa, and General Secretary, Alhaji Kabiru Ado Ya’u, the National Administrative Council of the union stated the choice was primarily based on the provisions of the union’s structure.

“MC Oluomo has been sacked as Lagos chairman. We had a meeting last evening. We have now changed him. His earlier withdrawal from the union holds no floor. That’s unacceptable to us,” a national officer mentioned

The union has introduced Seyi Bankole as the brand new head of the union in Lagos state.
