Police arrest officers for extorting road users in Plateau

The Plateau State Police Command has arrested two of its officers who have been caught on digicam forcefully amassing bribes from motorcyclists alongside Kadarko Road in Wase Council area of the state on April 16.

An announcement launched by the spokesperson of the command, ASP Gabriel Ubah, says these arrested and detained embody John Godwin AP/NO302444 INSP and Salihu Garba
AP/NO302376/INSP from 66 PMF.

Ubah acknowledged that the state Commissioner of Police, Batholomew Onyeka, in step with his anti-corruption coverage thrust, vows to deal ruthlessly and to do away with criminally-minded personnel who fall short of ethical requirements underneath his administration to function a deterrent to different erring officers.
