Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi has reiterated the warning on inappropriate dressing amongst officers.

Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin conveyed his directive in an announcement at the weekend.

The Lagos Command enjoined residents to report sightings of operatives discovered on obligation in mufti “for disciplinary actions”.

Alabi instructed Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to make sure strict enforcement.

The CP stated the warning “is in compliance with the earlier directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman”.

Alabi reminded officers on patrol and stop-and-search duties that they must seem in accredited uniforms.

The chief vowed to vicariously maintain liable any supervisor or Head of Division “beneath whose jurisdiction this directive is flouted”.
