A 37-year-old primary faculty driver, Kingsley Okwumbu, has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional center for allegedly defiling a three-year-old pupil of the college.
DailyTrust reviews that Okonkwo was on Tuesday, April 19, arraigned before a magistrate court docket in Ikeja for defilement and sexual assault.
Magistrate Ejiro Kubeinje didn’t take Okwumbu’s plea and ordered that he must be remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre. The magistrate directed the police to ship the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and adjourned the case to May 10.
Earlier, the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, instructed the court docket that Okwumbu committed the offence in March. He stated Okwumbu, being a school bus driver at Beehive Nursery and Primary School, Agidingbi, defiled a three-year-old pupil.
