The senior pastor of Evangelical Church in Tana River County, Kenya, has demolished his church in anger after he caught his spouse and the assistant pastor having a romantic moment after a prayer vigil.
In accordance with Nairobi Information, the preacher is alleged to have caught his spouse kissing the assistant pastor within the church.
Joan Mulei, a member of the worship staff, mentioned the pastor and the spouse left instantly after the service just for the pastor’s spouse to return a couple of minutes later.
“Individuals had already left and only the assistant pastor and some worship staff members stayed behind for a gathering when she walked in and joined in the assembly that will later finish prematurely,” she mentioned.
Ms Mulei says the pastor’s spouse kept making the assembly as transient as possible by interjecting in every statement and giving instant proposals.
The group ended the assembly with a prayer and proceeded home, abandoning the youthful assistant pastor and the Reverend’s spouse who seemed to be holding another exclusive meeting.
“Whereas we have been strolling home, we met the senior pastor at the junction to the church, he appeared anxious and asked if we had seen his spouse, we informed him she was still held in a gathering along with his assistant,” she mentioned.
The pastor headed in direction of the church to pick up his spouse as he feared the insecurity within the city following an increase in homicide incidents by the Kayole Brothers gang.
On arrival at the Church, he discovered the lights switched off and the main door closed. He decided to make use of that rear door where he was shocked to find his spouse entangled within the arms of his assistant, lost in a passionate kiss.
“We heard a person scream, Yesuuu!!!Yesu!!! And we thought he had been attacked so we ran to his rescue since we knew the voice of the pastor solely to find him bringing down the church whereas the spouse was pleading with him to settle,” mentioned Ali Mohammed, a resident dwelling close to the church.
The person of God in tears demolished the iron-sheet-made building within the evening and instantly hired some youth to carry them away.
Instantly after, he left the town for an unknown place and has not picked up calls since.
The spouse has since left for her matrimonial residence, leaving the church members in a dilemma.
Reached for comment, the youthful assistant pastor noted that all that happened was the satan’s work.
He claimed that the pastor’s spouse coerced him into the act, denying that they’ve been having an affair.
“I don’t even know the way it got that far, I only got here to my senses when the pastor shouted my name upon catching us,” he mentioned.
Church Members have resolved to rebuild the church and cleanse the altar of sin.
Some church elders have additionally resolved to dismiss the assistant pastor from the church and search for their senior pastor for talks and counselling.
