Two suspected kidnappers have been killed during gun duel with the Hunters Council of Nigeria alongside Okele/Ochadamu highway in Kogi State.

The suspects met their waterloo a few days after trying to kidnap commuters plying the route after the Easter celebration on the April 18, earlier than the lads of the Nigeria Navy engaged them in a gun battle.

The hunters ambushed the felony components after discovering their hideouts in Ochadamu at about 2 am on Wednesday April 20.

Two of suspects who engaged the hunters in a gun duel for over forty minutes died whereas three others escaped with various levels of accidents.

Briefing the newsmen at Ochadamu, the Special Adviser to Ofu Native Authorities on Security Matters, Hon. Mohammed Lawal Musa mentioned the operation was carried out by the men of the Hunters council of Nigeria to maintain the local government safe.

The breakthrough adopted circumstances bordering on kidnapping, armed theft, and illegal possession of firearms, he defined.

Hon. Lawal assured folks of the local government that he’ll proceed to work around the clock with the safety operatives to make sure a secure society for all while sounding a notice of warning to all criminals and intending culprits to desist from crime.
