The state police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident, including that the deceased and the suspect were lovers.

“Two suspects, Ifeanyi Njoku and Mbam Atunmufor, 36, have been arrested. They’ve been transferred to the State Prison Investigation and Intelligence Division, Yaba, for additional investigation. Njoku was the one which rented the condo.”
